Rexco Equipment, Inc. was founded in 1964 by Rex Smith Sr. and his wife Mildred in Cedar Rapids, IA. As the first Link-Belt Crane dealer in Iowa, they built a reputation for dependable equipment and exceptional service. Their sons, Rex Jr. and Steve, grew up in the business and carried forward the family's commitment to customer satisfaction and strong manufacturer relationships.

In 1985, Rexco expanded its product offerings by adding Bobcat® and Exmark, entering the compact equipment market to better serve the needs of contractors, landscapers, and municipalities across Iowa. Believing in the power of people, Rex Jr. and Steve launched an Employee Stock Ownership Plan (ESOP) in 2013 to ensure a strong future for the company. In 2015, Josh Bottelman was appointed President, and under his leadership, Rexco's employee-owner culture flourished.

By 2021, Rexco became 100% employee-owned, reinforcing its commitment to service, accountability, and long-term growth. In 2022, Rexco unveiled a fresh logo to reflect its evolution and continued dedication to providing the best equipment solutions in the industry. Today, Rexco Equipment proudly operates six locations across Iowa in Cedar Rapids, Farley, Davenport, Burlington, Des Moines, and Sigourney, offering sales, rental, parts, and service for leading equipment brands.
